Cloud computing runs applications on remote ______ that many users share, rather than on a local machine. Users reach these online applications through a web ______, and they only work while the device has an ______ connection.

Because everyone opens the same online application, all users get the same version of the software. That means the same ______ and file types are available to everyone, so the files they create stay ______ with each other. Each file is saved as a single shared ______ rather than as separate copies.

Cloud software also includes ______ tools, for example comments, live editing and chat, so several people can work on one file at once.

Cloud software is ______ effective because no extra hardware or storage is needed and the business pays a monthly subscription instead of buying the software. The provider maintains the service, so there is no need to employ in-house IT ______. The software also updates ______, so the business does not have to update every computer itself.
