Over the summer we’ve been busy giving the site a serious upgrade - new look, smoother onboarding, smarter teacher tools, privacy-first options, and a little extra sparkle on the leaderboards.

A fresh coat of paint

The whole site has been redesigned with a modern, 2020s feel (goodbye 2015 vibes). Cleaner layouts, clearer typography, and a UI that gets out of your way so the learning can shine.

Smarter sign-up

• Auto school detection: When students sign up with a school email, we automatically place them in the right school - no manual importing. They’ll appear in your roster ready to add to groups.
• Claim your school: Teachers can request to claim their school from the dashboard to unlock the full set of teacher tools.

Teacher tools that save clicks

• Last seen: Check when pupils last logged in right from your dashboard.
• Join codes & links: Share a group join code or link - no more adding students one-by-one.

Privacy, by design

• Student aliases: Hide real names on school-visible leaderboards with automatically generated aliases.
• Default-safe: New schools have aliases enabled by default; school managers can switch to real names later.
• Student choice: Even if real names are enabled, students can choose to keep their name hidden on school-visible leaderboards (teachers still see real names).
• Reroll option: Don’t like your alias? Students can re-roll for a new one.

Top students now wear a crown on the dashboard and leaderboards - small touch, big motivation.
