We’ve been quietly building an Exam Questions activity for over a year to make practice feel closer to the real thing. It’s now live and ready to try—but it’s opt-in for schools.

How it works

• Assign or open: Teachers assign Exam Questions like any other activity (students can also launch it from the Activities page).
• Answer: Students write short or extended responses, just like the exam.
• Instant marking: On submit, AI provides a provisional mark, shows the mark scheme, and gives targeted feedback tied to criteria.
• Teacher review: If assigned, teachers review with the mark scheme and adjust before marks are finalised.

Pricing (for now)

During rollout, it’s free. Longer term, we may introduce a usage cap or reduce feedback detail to manage running costs. We’ll give plenty of notice before anything changes.

Availability

We’re rolling out gradually—starting with Edexcel Computer Science and then expanding to other qualifications.

Opt-in & data protection

For data-protection reasons, this feature is off by default.
A School Manager can enable it via: School → Settings → AI features.

Why it matters

Students get rapid, concrete guidance; teachers keep the final say. Faster feedback without losing professional judgement.
