Using Colour - Word Drop

turtle.pencolor() sets the ______ of the lines the turtle draws. Anything drawn afterwards uses the new colour, and you can change the pen colour many times in one program. The colour must be set before the shape is drawn, never ______. Python uses the ______ spelling color, which drops the letter u, so pencolour never works.

Filling a shape with colour takes three steps. turtle.______() sets the colour to fill shapes with. turtle.______() comes before the lines of the shape and remembers the starting point. turtle.______() goes straight after the shape, closes it and fills it. The fill will not work if you forget to end it, or if the lines do not ______ up.

turtle.______() makes the lines thicker, and turtle.width() does the same job. Colour names are typed in ______ letters, such as red, blue and gold. To draw a picture, break it into simple ______, then colour each one. For example, a tree is a brown trunk with green triangles on top. A simple house is a red square with a brown roof.
