An ______ statement checks whether something is true and does one thing if so, otherwise it does something else. Its structure is =IF(test, value if true, value if false). The three parts are separated by ______, and any text must sit inside straight ______. Numbers and cell references do not need them.

The > symbol means ______, < means less than and = means equal to. So =IF(A1>10,'Pass','Fail') gives Pass when A1 is 15. It gives ______ when A1 is exactly 10, because 10 is not greater than 10. =IF(B210,D2*0.9,D2) multiplies total sales by 0.9, giving a 10 per cent ______ when more than 10 units were sold. An IF statement can also use the result of another ______ worked out in a different cell. A quiz can mark itself with =IF(B2='Paris','Correct','Incorrect'), which shows ______ only when the typed answer matches.
