ASCII is less suitable for representing characters from a wide range of languages
Has been the standard character set for early computing and the internet
Uses 7 bits for each character representation
Does not include symbols from non-latin languages or ancient scripts
Limited to 128 unique characters restricting it to mostly English characters
Currently contains 143859 characters with a maximum capacity of 1114112 characters
Each character in ASCII has a unique binary number
